RV Parks
An RV park is a campground with full or partial hookups for travel trailers, motorhomes, and fifth wheels. "Full hookup" means power (usually 30-amp or 50-amp), potable water, and sewer drainage all available at each site. "Partial hookup" might mean power and water but no sewer, requiring a trip to a dump station. The difference matters a lot for longer stays. Site types fall into a few categories. Pull-through sites are open at both ends and ideal for big rigs that don't want to back in. Back-in sites are more common but require maneuvering. Long-term sites are for monthly stays and often have small storage sheds or covered patios. The best RV parks have a mix and let you specify your rig type at booking. What separates a good RV park from a forgettable one: the setting and the spacing. A site that's 10 feet from your neighbor on either side is fine for an overnight; for a week, you want at least 30 feet between rigs and a tree-line if possible. The best parks are sited near hiking trails, fishing access, or a small downtown — somewhere to actually go during the day. Amenities to look for: a dump station (essential if you're at a partial-hookup site), a clean shower house with hot water, and ideally a laundry room. WiFi is offered at most parks but quality varies wildly; check recent reviews. Pool, hot tub, and clubhouse are nice-to-haves; the dump station is not. Pricing ranges from $25/night at a basic state-park RV loop to $150+/night at a luxury resort with concierge service. Most fall in the $40-70/night range. Browse every RV park we've indexed below.
