What we use
glamping.directory uses a deliberately small set of cookies. They fall into two categories:
Strictly necessary (always on)
- __cf_bm — Cloudflare's bot-management cookie. Required to keep the site usable for humans and unusable for abusive scrapers. Session-scoped.
- cf_clearance — Set when you complete a Turnstile challenge (claim form, review form). Short-lived.
- gd-consent — Records your cookie-banner choice so we don't ask again.
Optional (only with your consent)
- _ga / _gid (GA4): page-level analytics — only loaded if you accept analytics cookies
- Operator-tier UTMs: Premium tier listings can attach an outbound UTM to clicks; this affects the operator's own analytics, not us
What we don't use
- Cross-site advertising trackers
- Facebook/Meta pixel
- TikTok pixel
- LinkedIn Insight Tag
- Any tracker that profiles you across sites
How to control cookies
The consent banner gives you three options at first visit:
- Accept all — enables analytics + any optional cookies
- Reject all — same prominence as Accept; only strictly-necessary cookies remain
- Customize — fine-grained control by category
You can revisit your choice anytime by clicking "Cookie preferences" in the footer.
Global Privacy Control (GPC)
If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a Reject All without showing the banner. We honor GPC for visitors in California, Colorado, Connecticut, and any state with similar laws.
Browser-level controls
All major browsers let you block or delete cookies through their settings. Note that blocking strictly necessary cookies may break parts of the site (form submissions, anti-bot challenges).
