Affiliate Disclosure

The short version
We may earn a referral commission when you click some outbound links and complete a booking on a partner platform (e.g., Hipcamp, Tentrr, KOA, glamping aggregators). The commission comes from the platform; you pay no more than you would otherwise.
What's affiliated
- Outbound links to OTA partners (Hipcamp, Tentrr, Glamping Hub, Campspot, etc.)
- A small number of editorial mentions in blog posts and guides — always inline-disclosed
What's not affiliated
- Links to operators' own websites (most outbound links on the site)
- Brand listings, ratings, ranking, search results — never paid for
- Featured placement on SCL pages — Premium-tier operators pay us, but every featured spot is visibly labeled "Featured" on the page
How rankings work
Listing order is determined by signals like rating, review count, and editorial fit — never by referral commission rates. We don't promote one OTA over another to chase a higher commission.
When the same property is bookable through multiple paths (operator's own site + an OTA), we link to the operator first. The operator gets the visit; we don't.
Why this matters
The whole reason this site is structured as a meta-search directory — not an OTA — is so we can afford to do things the right way: write honest editorial, point you at the operator, and not optimize for our own conversion. The affiliate stream is small relative to subscription revenue from claimed listings, by design.
FTC guidelines
Per FTC guidelines, we disclose affiliate relationships clearly. Each blog post that contains an affiliate link will note it inline ("This post contains affiliate links"). The footer of every listing page also notes when a link is affiliated.
