Woodchip Campground

We stayed here for 2 nights when attending a wedding in GR. Perfect location for the 3 venues that we attended. Friendly staff, nice campground.

We winter camped here and it was the best experience! We are full time RVers and loved staying here. Never an issue with any of the amenities even down to -15 degrees. If ever there was a reason for things to be fixed they always communicate the issue ahead of time. Michelle is such a great lady she went above and beyond her duties at the campground. She is amazing. That’s not to mention the great friends we made that are now life long friends! Yes, even in the winter you can make friends camping! Communication and consistency from management were frustrating, and it often felt like guest concerns weren’t taken as seriously as they should be. Decisions didn’t always seem fair or transparent, which made the overall experience feel less welcoming than expected. The office staff—Tracey, Jan, and Diane—were a bright spot and did their best to be helpful and kind, but even their efforts couldn’t fully make up for the issues with management. At the end of the day, strong leadership sets the tone, and that’s where this campground falls short.

The owners are super friendly! They were very helpful at check in and even help us get the camper parked. The area is quiet and close to any store or restaurant you can think of. Fire pits are provided and pets are welcome. We'll definitely return for more camping trips!

The staff are very friendly. The campground is comfortable. We camped in the spring so the bathrooms, etc. were not open yet, but we didn't need it because we had full campsite hookup.
