BEWARE!! Make sure you secure everything you bring at all times because you will wake up with things missing. We have stayed here for years and always had a wonderful time. Things have changed. We reported missing items to the park rangers and was told that people from Lakeside and the large homeless camp just down the road often enter the camp at night. One camper told us she saw a man with a headlamp on during the night looking through their camp. We hope that since the State and Rangers are aware that there is an issue with theft, they will take measures to make the park more secure.
The Yurts are nice. Bathrooms are clean. However, we had coolers stolen off our porch in the middle of the night. Bring a lock for your coolers or bring them inside!
Beautiful place to camp. Great trails and clean restrooms.
