Wilderness Shores Ranch & Campground

Wow, what an incredible place and even more incredible owners and staff. This was my family’s very first time camping with two toddlers and we had the absolute best experience. The gentleman in the cowboy hat (I wish I got his name) was so down to earth and genuinely cared about both the campground and the guest experience. Rachel at the front desk was wonderful and incredibly helpful. And the young man riding around on the ATV tending to the campground was such a hard worker. We will definitely be making this an annual trip and are already planning to come back in a few months. 10/10 recom…

This is a great campground for campers who appreciate nature, goats and long-horned cows! The ranch is on the grounds of a reclaimed phosphate mine, and there are many wonderful trails and opportunities to see water birds and kayak. There are free ranging dwarf goats and long-horned cattle, which tend to mostly stay in their respective areas, especially on busy weekends when the campground is full. Perfect place to relax and watch long horns , goats , chickens , horses, donkeys.. site are roomy easy to park friendly people .. don’t FEED animals at camping areas…. Bring golf cart , bicycles, kayaks , side x side with permission. And fishing poles In the evenings longhorns bed down behind campers and in the morning they are there.. cool to see them .. they are friendly and goats are cool .. Update: After a lot of issues and lack on communication on their end, my Aunt stopped by and confirmed our reservation. They were understaffed, but youd never know by the way they acted and the way the grounds looked. We had a great time. The goats were the cutest and the horses were so pretty. We would definitely go back! I would love to say we had a great time. I would love to have been able to camp with my family here. I called for 3 days straight to ask questions and make a reservation.
