Watchman is an ideal place to stay while visiting the park. The arrival process was smooth and the RV and camping spots were clean and well-defined. Each spot includes a fire pit and the location is within easy walking distance to the visitor center and the shuttle system. The nights are quiet and offer starry views if the weather is clear, and the toilets were kept clean and well-maintained throughout the stay. It is easily one of the best campsites I have seen in a national park.
Beautiful campground, right in the heart of Zion. Camping is semi private, large sites. No showers (Most National Park camping) Walking distance to shuttle bus, the town of Springdale One of my favorites....
One of the most beautiful campgrounds I've ever stayed at! Just don't try to take an afternoon nap on a Wednesday! The weedwhackers and leaf blowers go on around camp for over an hour.... All in all, the camp sites are decently spaced out with shade trees, bushes, and a few cacti here and there. The fire pits can be a little close to each other's campsites, so the smoke from one site might be right into the tent of the next site. Oh, and watch for the caterpillar webs in the trees in the spring; it can rain caterpillars on your stuff! Camping fun...
