Wallicut River RV and Campground Resort

The staff were very helpful and able to help even after business hours. The park is beautiful and very clean. We will be returning on a regular basis.

We booked Cabin 1 at Wallicut River RV Resort and got “upgraded” to Cabin 4… which apparently doubles as a wildlife preserve and mold exhibit. Walked in that night and immediately realized we weren’t the first guests—the spiders had clearly checked in before us and weren’t planning on leaving. We’re talking multiple live spiders, full web infrastructure around and under the bed… honestly, they had better setup than we did. Then we looked under the bed and found what appears to be black mold—which really tied the whole “abandoned haunted cabin” vibe together nicely. Needless to say, we didn’…

I made a reservation and had to cancel. I attempted to contact a staff member in several ways, and well within the cancelation period. The park manager, Hannah, withheld my refund after several emails which were contradicting. I actually had to get my bank involved. I received a full refund. Thank you, Hannah, because I didn't have to pay the cancelation fee! I have visited this park under different owners and it was great. However, I will never go back after dealing with this. Hannah, needs to take a customer service course, or at least act like an honest individual.

Overall a decent stay for a quick night, however, it was pretty loud at night from the Highway and other campers. I didn’t realize how far some of the tent sites are from the showers and bathrooms, which made night bathroom breaks a little frustrating. The showers weren’t as clean as I would expect, but for the tent camping price it worked.

Looks like an awesome place to be. Didn't stay overnight but it's on the list now.
