Wakeside Lake RV Park

Great experience getting a Christmas tree here! The boys were super friendly and helpful.

This RV park needs to be shut down. They have major sewage issues which is a sanitation issue. We went to dump and upon opening the pipe it was up to the rim in raw sewage. We went site to site and the same at the other sites. Apparently this is a normal thing here. No one comes around to keep the sites clean. No camphost. Trash bin was always overflowing and flies everywhere. Power kept going out in the middle of the night. Office is only open from 11-2. other than that you are on your own. Taking the price into consideration, this was a pretty decent little place to stay. Don't expect much in the way of amenities, but if you're looking for simply a place to plop your trailer for the night or two on a level gravel pad, hookup to full services and explore the area, it's a solid choice. It's quiet if you have a enclosed trailer, but it would be a little noisy for a tent with highway 20. Be aware, there is nobody on the property; at least not full-time . This is a decent spot by a nice little lake. With Beautiful trees. It is NOT a great spot for tent camping. The hwy 20 traffic was loud and nonstop all night long and around midnight the sprinklers went off and soaked the inside and outside of my tent since the sprinkler head popped up under my rain fly. It would've been extremely helpful to know about the sprinklers!!! The bathroom area is decent but not overly clean in shower area.

This is our third time staying at Wakeside Lake RV since we discovered it in 2023. We have been full time RVing for 3 years and this park is perfect for our needs - quiet, large shade trees, pull-thru sites, wide sites, full hook-ups that work, large and clean laundry and clean shower room. The location is convenient to Rexburg and Idaho City and is a good place to stop on your way to Yellowstone or the Sawtooth. Icing on the cake are the nice, helpful people who work there.
