Volcano House

Courteous, friendly, and helpful staff. The staff made our stay better than expected, so a big Mahalo to them! Room was nice and clean, though certainly older, with limited outlets, but there was a lamp with both a 110v plug and a USB port to help charge our devices. Bathroom was tight, but functional. The location - amazing, it overlooks the Kilauea caldera.

Amazing place, with unbeatable views and super service. The facilities show their age a bit, but they are historic and well maintained. Restaurant service and selection are quite good, but the food quality is kinda mid. There's something amazing about lying in bed and watching the glow of the volcano at night through the fog. Highly recommended.

We ate dinner and The Rim restaurant. Awesome service, great fresh fish dinner, and what a view for the finish of episode 46. Spectacular day and night!

We had dinner at Uncle George’s, the view was amazing, the food was very good and our server, Jon, was the best!! Really want to give a shout out to Jon because it has been a long time since we have had such an amazing server. He was on top of drinks, great menu explanations and recommendations, fantastic personality, funny and informative about the park and viewing areas. Thank you!!
