Love the trail around the lake, visit often. Camped here once with my dog, too. Lovely park. Not for aggressive hiking/hills that I could see, but they rent boats and there's is plenty of nature's bounty to observe. Lots of people ice fishing in the winter. There are grills for cooking, too.
Good for relaxing and playing in water. Beach is smaller but overall big park. DOGS NOT ALLOWED on beach, but if you walk along the lake trial, there are some lake access points quiet and away from crowd, great to play with your dog in water. Crowded in summer on weekends as expected but much peaceful in weekdays.
Great place for a walk. Even in the winter
