Timberline Glamping at Unicoi State Park

Tent was nice, tent platform was a bit tilted. Didnt buy all of the options.

First time glamping with a family of 5. We did the deluxe safari tent at Unicoi state park. There was plenty of space, comfortable beds, plenty of things to do. The first night we were able to use the fire ring for a bonfire, but they instituted a burn ban because of the dry conditions so we were unable to make a fire the second night. Once again, the accommodations were great.

Glamping at Unicoi was such a pleasant surprise! The tent was so cute and had everything we needed... refridgerator, electricity, running water, comfortable beds, and felt very upscale for a camping adventure (bring your own towels and camping stove/utensils/pan if you do not want to pay for the add-on). There are 3 major hiking trails starting directly from the campsite... one that goes to Anna Ruby Falls, one that goes into the town center of Helen, and a beautiful trail around the Unicoi lake. Everything was perfect! Rooms were comfortable and beautiful; bathrooms were dated but kept clean, plus they were very close to the tents. Tables and chairs were included and the lodge was just a 5 minute walk away incase you needed something you had forgotten. The area was also lovely with the hike by the lake and Helen near by. I look forward to doing this experience again! My only complaint is that a $65 cleaning fee for a tiny tent room where there is no bathroom or floors to sweep is excessive.
