Better late than never! We booked a trip earlier this year in March and it was my Birthday weekend as well. My husband has been intrigued with yurts so we found this gem and got to experience staying in one first hand and with our children. Thinking back just made me take a nice, long, deep breath thinking how relaxing and wonderful it was in so many ways. We cannot say enough about the yurt! Close to a beautiful stretch of water with kind hosts. I honestly cannot wait to come back to this peaceful slice of paradise. Please note: there's no wifi and cell service is basically non existent so come prepared to unplug!!
All of the reviews of this place are spot on. My husband and I just returned from a weekend trip to Haywood County to celebrate 22 years of marriage. The weather was dreary, cold and rainy but the Yin Yurt near the sweet town of Waynesville made it all worthwhile. The stay is about 2.5 hours from the north end of Charlotte, NC which made the drive more than manageable. Richardo greeted us upon arrival and gave a sweet tour of the property.
