About The Land: An Off-grid Refuge

Come stay at our beautiful, quiet, and welcoming sanctuary. There are about 100 acres of hardwood forest and meadows, ponds, and a seasonal creek. We are located 25 minutes from Nevada City, 15 minutes from 2 forks of the Yuba River, and only 10 minutes from a sweet little cafe in historic downtown North San Juan. The space you will be staying in is a masterpiece of wood work and is an experience all it’s own. If you are looking to unwind in nature, ground out in solitude or on a couples getaway we’d love to have you on our Land!

Wow!! First I want to say thank you so much to Rachel for sharing this amazing space. The interior is beautifully built and the land is so lovingly taken care of. It was such an incredible experience. Every part of our stay was thought out and planned for. There are papers that describe in-depth the ins and outs of emergency plans, activities to do, and what to see on the property. We referenced these papers many times throughout our stay and we were so thankful for them. The bed is super comfortable and the blankets were so cozy and clean. The inside of the bus smelled so amazing. This was in…

We had a good time during our weekend stay! My favorite part was the bath house and my partner loved the bus interior. The bird feeder had a lot of activity throughout the day. Thank you for sharing your space!

Absolutely peaceful. Warm, helpful host. Natural beauty abounds. Short drive to gorgeous river spots. Adorable remodeled bus. Love it so much!

The bus was super cool and beautifully made! We also really enjoyed the bath house. The stars were incredible too! The one thing I was not particularly pleased with was being woken up by the owners free-roaming barking dogs early in the mornings. Also, I would recommend bringing an extra lamp because it does get very dark and the provided lamps might not be enough light for everyone. Otherwise, the place was awesome! I would still recommend this spot for anyone looking to get away from the city.

My second time here and I booked just one day before, knowing I needed a space I could have to myself, that offered rest and “being.” Rachel and I got to meet this time, and she helped me set up for an outdoor fire, and even helped with the new hot water heater for the shower. Truly so much love is put into the bus and surrounding areas. I plan to share this place with other solo travelers, because as a solo preferred traveler, this spot is safe and the host is incredibly helpful for anything!

Incredible experience ! Rachel was super accommodating and welcoming. Good energy at this property. Wood stove burned hot and cozy. Bathhouse was a vibe. Dogs were sweet. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.
