Location: we are located in Kernville, just a 5 to 8-minute walk from the Kern River, next door to the Kern River Brewing Company, across from the Sierra Gateway Market, and up the street from Pizza Barn and the Kern River Fly Shop. We are 1 hour from the Trail of 100 Giants in the Sequoia National Park (the Trail is CLOSED from November – Memorial Day in May). Our rooms vary between Mountain and Pool Views. Most stores and restaurants are either next door, down the street, or over the bridge (5 to 8 minutes walk). Weather: we are located in a high desert country. Even though we are in the mountains, the Kern River Valley is usually warmer than you expect (except during winter months). You can check the weekly forecast for Kernville here. Nice cosey place, friendly welcome, good restaurants in walking distance.
Made reservations for this place threw hip camp 6 months in advance when I arrived the room was already rented out , host said there was no reservation threw hip camp , I had my reservations on hand and confirmation number emailed hip camp because there is no Pearson to talk with, in the end was said sorry by bolth party’s hip camp said they’d refund me , all the rooms were booked no were to stay close by so had dinner and then made my way back home , would not suggest the hotel or hip camp
The place was great. Exactly what we needed. Heater worked perfectly, area was safe, plenty of parking, equipped with coffee and essentials. Staff was very helpful and accommodated my late check in. Would definitely stay again.
