Sun Retreats Westward Shores

This campground was clean, beautiful, and incredibly well maintained. The manager truly makes this place special—friendly, helpful, and always going above and beyond to make guests feel welcome. You can tell they genuinely care about the campground and the people staying there. Thanks to their dedication, our stay was smooth, relaxing, and memorable. We can’t wait to come back!!!

I was a seasonal camper for many years. When we started going, we loved WWS. But, every year we lost more and more amenities and services, even though the prices went up substantially each year. The grounds are no longer kept up. Most of the time the bathrooms dont work. Kids activities are almost non exsistant or ridiculously lame. The final straw this past year was: they closed the snack bar (the store for the first part of the season), no longer supplied cable even though it was previously in our contracts. This campground is a luxury for the location and the cozy cabins they have. The views of the lake and area attractions are memories you’ll never forget and you’ll want to go back.

My fiancé, myself and our family/friends have been camping here for several years. We have always loved the staff, the other campers and the beauty of the campground. In 2025, we had our first year as a seasonal site and UNFORTUNATELY was the same year SUN REATREATS purchased Westward Shores. For the most part, we were unhappy. The office staff were always so rude, no smiles or anything. The store was never open - they must have fired all of the younger adults that would work the summer when they were out of school.. which is a huge disappointment because they were always the best staff!
