About Stars and Valley Boondock Campsite

Park your vehicle under the stars looking over the Morongo Basin with the Joshua Tree National Park mountains at your back. Enjoy a campfire. Enjoy meals on the picnic table. Smell the fresh desert air. Wake to sunrise views and enjoy the changing colors with your morning brew. In the evening relax to the even more colorful sunset. Restroom available. Trash Dumpster available. RV/vehicle boondocking encouraged. Tent camping is not as comfortable due to the desert wind and the rocky ground. Only 5 minutes away from the Starbucks or the National Park entrance on Utah Trail, yet the sites lie on the more wild side of town and offers substantial seclusion. Two campsites available.

Great spot! close to Joshua Tree. Very nice to have the outhouse which was clean and the dumpster, and great for stargazing - similar to Joshua tree park at night!

We had ample space to ourselves and a great view of the mountains and stars. Communication was great and the amenities were solid. Close to the park entrance and town.

Directions were spot on and easy to find. Private enough yet close to highway to not feel too excluded. Bathroom and trash were for use. Very clean spot
