Springfield / Route 66 KOA Holiday

Extremely laid back camp ground with full hookups. The train only runs about 2 times a day we noticed. The airport seems to be worse in the mornings. I do wish they would take a rinse truck between rv’ers that may have leaked sewage. I have not seen them do this at this KOA and our old neighbors sadly haven’t been the cleanest and the new ones had to rinse down their area. Otherwise a great campground! Can’t wait to be back next year.

Overall a very pleasant stay. The staff were extremely kind and it’s dog friendly which is always a plus. The grounds themselves are maintained extremely well and you can tell the owners take pride in the grounds. There were multiple dog parks that allowed our dogs to stretch their legs after a long drive. They have a pizza place on grounds which is nice if you don’t want to go into Springfield for food. The only complaint is the trains that go by every hour or so. Of course they have to blast their horns and while during the day it’s not bad, at 4:20am it’s not exactly what you want so not re…

Stayed twice one st a camp site the other a cabin. Love them both but it you want a soft bed bring a foam padding the bed is stiff .

Friendly staff, nice size spaces and clean restrooms. The train going by blasting the horn was unexpected.

Although the campground itself is fine, we had to leave after 1 night. Trains blare their way through every couple hours all night long.
