We had a fantastic weekend at Split Rock! Despite the rain every day, we managed to relax and recharge. Pros: The tent was spacious, the fire pit was a nice touch, and the area was wonderfully quiet. It was just a quick 20-second walk to the bathroom and shower, plus the views were stunning. We even had some fun encounters with farm animals (skip paying for the service, though). Everything we needed for cooking was available on-site, and the sound of rain on the canvas tent was soothing. The dirt paths were well-maintained and free of debris. Cons: We did face some challenges with Branch O…

What a wonderful experience! We're not big time campers, but we loved Splitrock Stargazer! Super simple self check-in, really nice dome tent, good bed and amenities. The camp store, while tiny, had just what we needed (s'mores, etc) and we were ready to go. We'll certainly go back and we highly recommend Splitrock.

Terrible experience. Site was invested with ants and inhabitable. We slept in the car for a few hours (they were crawling all over us and our food) and drove home early the next day. Host refused refund and lied about there being dead ants everywhere from us spraying mosquito spray. HipCamp did not intervene and believed host because I did not have any photos.

We checked out this morning and are already looking at the calendar for when we will go back. Recruiting friends to go with us. Sending the pics to family and friends. This place is a gem. It’s stunning views. The owner is the nicest guy—super helpful and welcoming and kind. We did the glamping dome option—it had all the basics we needed so we barely had to touch our camping gear, and could have packed so much lighter! It’s just so charming and comfortable. We were in heaven—such an easy distance to find such a beautiful respite. Definitely go to the Critter Camp to feed the babies. But also j…

Overall solid glamping experience. Just a few minor complaints i guess. When we arrived looks like it was not fully cleaned. The bed sheets still have a lot of pet furs, still dusty inside, the previous glampers left dirty dishes etc., one of the light remote was not working which control the inside light so i had to swapped the solar panel to the one that works. But again overall it was a good glamping experience, location was good for a sunrise, it was not direct.
