Spent the weekend camping and hiking. Trails well-maintained and facilities kept clean and well-stocked. Camp sites are close together so not much privacy if you're looking for seclusion while camping, this is not the spot. Enjoyed hiking up to the Jacob overlook on a clear beautiful day you can see the skyline of Charlotte.
Very clean small campground. Really only 2 spaces can accommodate a travel trailer. Sites are fairly close together, and to access the river you nearly have to walk thru others campsites. Bathrooms are super nice. One star off for still having trails closed from Helene and no dump station even though there is a large horse campground here as well.
