We stayed at Sonoran Desert RV Park in Gila Bend after leaving the coast of California and heading east into the Arizona desert, passing through the mountains along the way, and this stop ended up being one of the most unexpectedly memorable parts of our trip. From the moment we arrived, the experience felt different in the best way. This was the first RV park we stayed at on our trip where we were personally escorted to our site, which immediately made it feel more welcoming and intentional. Arrival was simple and stress free. This was just an overnight stay for us, and it was fantastic for that. Great pull-thru spot, and I have to say, I don't think I've ever stayed in an RV park with as much space between sites. The sites are all level gravel, and the roads are asphalt. The only thing lacking, in my opinion, is that it's all gravel - no grass - and not concrete pads. And of course, it's Gila Bend . . . that means desert! And that explains why there's no grass. But there's no doubt, if I'm ever staying in this part of the country again, this is the park I'll pick.
