Smokemont Campground

First time at this campground very friendly staff at check-in found the bathroom clean and well lighted stayed April 27 -30 site was pretty full because loops not open until may sites were a little close but not bad only complaint I had my site C-2 was short for me with tiny camper with 270 awning so parked truck at a angle with back tire off the pavement I got up the next morning with a note from security that was on my windshield that said all tires must remain on the pavement I understand they have to have rules but I wasn’t parked in the grass and felt it was over reacting I made sure ther…

This is a busy campground! We weren't able to get a single site for 2 nights, so we had to switch mid-trip. Our first site was in loop A, where the campsites are very densely packed. You'll be right next to your neighbors in a way that I haven't seen at even the busiest state park campgrounds. Our second site was in loop C, which was a little bit more spread out, especially with the space in the middle of the loop between campsites.
