Schoodic Woods Campground

Good solid campground with some level of seclusion, preferred over Blackwoods. We stayed early October. The facilities were clean and very quiet. Nothing wrong with it but I save 5 stars for campsites with views.

Beware! You will dislike every other campground after staying here! Sites are level and spacious! Your neighbors are friendly! Staff, although furloughed, were super helpful and kind. It's the best campground we've stayed in our 25+ years of camping.

One of the nicest Federal campgrounds we have stayed at so far. The campsites have a good amount of space between them and overall it was quiet at night. The bathrooms were cleaned daily even during the shutdown. The sites are open to the sky with almost no branches overhead. It's a nice spot for star gazing. We were here in October and we started to hear the fishing boats leaving the harbor around 5am. We enjoyed using the free shuttle to explore the hiking trails on the peninsula. The bike trails were challenging with loose pea stone gravel but scenic and fun.

This is one of the best campgrounds! Lots of space in sites, walking trails, clean restrooms and quiet. Town close by with groceries, food, shops and lobster pound with fresh seafood! The only downfall is no showers. You need to travel outside the park and pay for them. UPDATE: Hate going on line for reservations! Have have not been able to book since.
