About Saddle Up Camp
Saddle Up Ranch is a horse rescue that is ever growing. We have over 180 trees on the property (mostly beautiful flowing California Pepper Trees) and have gorgeous views of the surrounding mountains and horse pastures.We offer horseback riding, goat yoga, and goat milking. You can also volunteer and help care for the animals while you are here by feeding, grooming or simply petting them. TJ, our owner, is working her way through the race track. Our campsites are managed by Tony. He works closely with guests to expand our campsites. TJ and many of the guides volunteer hard hours to rehabilitate the horse and give them a good home. You should see how the animals flock to TJ. The ranch also has goats, pigs, chickens, dogs and cats. Guests love staying here: "Second stay and looking forward to returning again! <3 We were the only campers during the weekend, it was so serene. It gets very cold at night but the star filled skies are breathtaking. This time during our stay we had 3 kitty visitors and 3 dogs that rolled up to our camp multiple times, it felt like they were checking up on us. It was so cute. The sweet Aussie poked his head in our tent to say "you good?" haha It was so cute and they were extremely friendly and social! The black kitten stayed at our camp all night and cuddled on our laps by the fire. It was such a lovely experience. TJ and her crew have done an amazing job with this place, I don't have enough words to explain. Just see for yourself! You'll love it!! Can't wait to visit again!"

Camping in proximity to horses was a treat. The ranch owner TJ is a very welcoming person and always ready to answer questions. We had a couple of pre-teen girls who were very happy to be allowed to help with the horses. Our whole group of 10 people went on a horse walk and TJ was not only unbelievable energetic in telling us stories she was also masterful at getting our youngest of five years old to go from nervous crying and afraid to get on a horse to smiling on top of a horse for 1.5 hours.
Overall, it was a unique experience. No one was really there to welcome us but on our way in we bumped into someone who didn’t give us the correct site. All understandable because everyone was working. We were eventually told where our site was, and then was given the option to relocate. I had no idea the sites would be so close to the horses, but we’re generally pretty flexible with new experiences. Plus the horses were beautiful and friendly! They’d walk towards us when we’d get close. We loved all 3 dogs and a cat that came to visit our site! That was awesome. We only did 1 night, it was a …
We had a great night camping at Saddle Up! We were on Site 12 which was well described and perfectly located for a great sunset view. The directions to the site were on point and our family enjoyed meeting the horses and goats! Perfect for an overnight stay. The owner was super friendly and next time we will definitely explore the horseback riding available.
Beautiful at night and evening, relaxing spot. Be prepared for the heat and flies from nearby animals during the day. A cute cafe across the road.
Loved this spot. So cool to be around all the horses. It is a working farm so expect there to be animals and noises, but I thought that’s what made this stay unique. The landscape is beautiful as well and the host is super friendly and easy to talk to! Definitely would go back!
