Campfire Ranch Lost Trail is a private lodge tucked into Coldstream Canyon outside Truckee — a quiet, secluded basecamp for Tahoe trips when you’d rather skip the lake crowds and come home to privacy, no neighbors, and a real meal on the table. This isn’t a lakefront rental, and we don’t try to be. Lost Trail is for groups that want the “tucked-away Tahoe” experience: woods, trails, fireplace nights, warm rooms, hot showers, and the feeling that you actually disappeared for a minute. Our entire private lodge outside Truckee with all-inclusive meals included. No neighbors, no crowds, just your crew in the woods. This is the entire lodge for your group: 4 private bedrooms, 4 private bathrooms, hot showers, and a warm communal setup for dinners, games, and slow mornings. Room layout (sleeps up to 12): • Bedroom 1: 1 queen + 2 twin beds, private bathroom • Bedroom 2: 1 queen + 2 twin beds, private bathroom • Bedroom 3: 1 queen + 2 twin beds, private bathroom • Bedroom 4: 1 queen + 2 twin beds, private bathroom All-inclusive meals (included in the nightly rate): • Arrival day: afternoon snack, dinner, dessert • Each full day: breakfast, afternoon snack, dinner, dessert • Departure day: breakfast • Alcohol: BYOB Dietary restrictions/preferences: include notes when you book. Kitchen note: The kitchen is staff-run and not guest-accessible — we handle meals and cleanup so the lodge stays relaxed. Getting here (summer): AWD/4WD required. About a 4-mile drive on county roads to reach the lodge. We’ll confirm the best approach in pre-arrival messages. Winter note In winter months, access requires a mandatory ~4-mile over-snow approach via skis/splitboard with skins or snowshoes. Pets: Up to 4 pets allowed. Pets may not be left unattended. Pet food not included. Before your trip Your Campfire Ranch host will message you within a week of your trip to coordinate arrival timing, confirm dietary restrictions/preferences, and answer final questions. Arrival + welcome This is an in-person welcome. Your host will get you oriented, confirm meal timing, and walk through your trip details. Your host/chef is on-site the entire stay (in separate sleeping quarters — not in your lodge space). You’ll have full privacy, with real support when you need it.
