About Rustic Beachfront Escape with Fireplace, Views & Pet-Friendly Stay in Florence, Oregon

This is settled on a sand dune in Florence, Oregon with spectacular views of the Pacific Ocean, shore, and beach. The cottage includes two small bedrooms, a kitchen area with oven, stove, microwave and refrigerator. There is a working bathroom with a sink and a shower. It has a wall heater as well as a wood-burning fireplace. There is a large deck with two rocking Adirondack chairs to rock and enjoy the ocean, beach and the wonderful sea breeze. The sand is golden brown and wonderful to walk in. Because of the remote beach location, there are no high-rise hotels, and very few people. The cottage itself offers much privacy due to its position and setting. Dogs are welcome at no extra charge. The beds are newer and comfortable. The main bedroom offers a queen size bed and the smaller bedroom has a trundle with two twin beds. The couch in the living room area is a queen-size rollaway offering an extra sleeping place if needed. There is a sliding glass door to an outside mini-porch to step out any time and enjoy the view with a cup of coffee or a glass of wine. The Oregon coast in this area is just spectacular, offering cliffs and amazing natural wonders such as Thor’s Well and the Devil’s Churn. Nearby also is the Sea Lion Caves where humans can view Sea Lions enjoying life, while not disturbing them at all. The gift shop at the Sea Lion Caves offers mementos and items for all types of preferences. There also is oceanfront horseback riding, hiking galore, golf, bicycle riding paths, and a plethora of shops to hunt for treasure. The old town Florence on the Siuslaw River offers many wonderful shops and restaurants, my favorite being the Waterfront Depot with great meals at great prices. There are views at every turn on highway 101 from Florence to Yachats. I love Yachats too, with its offerings low key but an understated beauty and vibe that you feel when you enter the town. My favorite place there to shop is a tiny store called “Just Local” which offers all hand-crafted artwork and kitchen items. But I saved the best for last, the famous dunes. There are vast areas of natural sand inland from the coast making the area well known for riding sand dunes in sand rails, dune buggies and other off road toys. Try it for yourself it is a blast! There is so much to do and see hear, people who stay here will not be bored, if activity is what they seek. Or, just sit and watch the waves rolling in and listen to the incredible sounds of the ocean.
