Welcome to the 2026 Season! The skies are blue, the lavender is blooming and we're looking forward to seeing you! If you're checking the temperatures in Ukiah, please know that due to our elevation of 2,400' we're always 6 to 10 degrees cooler than the valley. It's rarely too hot up here to enjoy the always gorgeous great outdoors! Stay in one of our private, beautifully furnished platform tents and enjoy the gorgeous mountain views from your own front porch while you breath in the fragrant lavender scented air and settle into the quiet surroundings. If you're planning on bringing a dog, we're happy to welcome them as well and with 15 fenced acres, it's a slice of Dog Heaven. Just look at the "Extras" section and click on it to add your furry family member to your reservation. Please note Ranger is the farm cat and if your pup isn't cat friendly, please leave them on leash until everyone's acquainted. We're fortunate to have Orr Hot Springs just down the road (you'll need a reservation), as well as a gorgeous protected redwood forest at Montgomery Woods where you can take an unforgettable hike in some of the most majestic redwoods on the west coast. The newly renovated 2 mile trail is a fun and easy hike for everyone. At night you'll see stars like you've never seen them before. Enjoy them from your tent or with the other guests at the communal gas fire pit near the barn. We're a working lavender farm; harvesting for culinary use and dried bundles as well as making our own line of essential oils which you can experience by booking one or both of the "Extras" offerings. We're very proud of our oils and know you'll be surprised by how immediately they regulate your nervous system and calm your mind. You're welcome to participate in whatever we're doing on the farm during your stay, just let us know, we'd love the help! 💜 Please plan on checking-in before 7:30pm, we work hard and really need our sleep. : ) Note: We strongly suggest that if you're visiting with children, you book Site 1. It's on flat ground where as Site 2 is on a hill. The mountains, the stars, the lavender and the peaceful quiet of Nature are just what your soul needs. We hope to welcome you soon. What an incredible experience. So quiet and peaceful. The perfect relaxing get away. Steffny’s property is absolutely gorgeous, and she is an amazing host. She helped us down to our tent with all of our stuff, and was very attentive. Great communication prior to us arriving, as well as when we were staying there. Everything was clean and kept up. Needless to say, we were very happy with our accommodations, and our stay on Steffny’s property. We will definitely be back!
I didn’t expect that just running away for the weekend would turn into a dream vacation. I’m still not sure it was real. The other guests’ reviews say it all better than I can. I must say, "I miss you, beautiful tent at Running Creek Ranch" and "I miss you, Gumdrop, my tiny frog friend". But seriously, the real "star" is the host!!!! The accommodations could not have been more perfect!
We had an absolutely incredible weekend here. Stefnny and her adorable dogs greeted us and made us feel right at home right from the beginning. Our setup was beyond our expectations (and far better than some hotels we've stayed at) with a spacious porch, comfortable bed, and lovely decorations. An added bonus was hanging out with the farm's sweet tabby cat. Surrounded by golden rolling hills, trees, and the peaceful sounds of nature, we couldn't have asked for a more relaxing experience. Steffny's lavender farm is a special place. Site 1 had wonderful views and it is a great spot to hang out on the deck and read a book. The canvas tent did a great job of keeping out bugs and the bed and linen were comfy and nice. The sound of the crickets and birds was magic. It was a short walk (100 yards or so) to the house where there was a nice bathroom and shower to use. Steffny is beyond a terrific host and even gave us extra cucumbers from her garden. Really relaxing getaway and redwood trees and Orr Hot Springs are just a few minutes down the road.
The site was amazing and everything we needed for a quick getaway from SF. Our Australian sheperd, Cloud loved Steffny and had the time of his life running around the lavender farm and the trails around the property. The farm pups and cat were also very welcoming. Steffny was an amazing host and we can't wait to organize another visit to Ukiah.
