I've always been curious about Clearlake. Living in Sacramento, I know how much methamphetamines use is in every corner of the state and knew exactly what I was getting into by going to Lake County, which ranks last in health outcomes in California. What a shame, though, because the lake is beautiful (though thoroughly polluted, don't touch), and the wineries and springs are lovely. Rodney was a fantastic host! We got in later than we thought and Rodney was very patient with us and helped us navigate after we over shot the location. When you get close *call for directions!* Like Rodney says clearly on his page it can be a little tricky to get to. It would have saved us a good chunk of time had we been proactive. Facilities on the property are clean and orderly. We greatly appreciated the hospitality!

Super quite (Besides the highway) in the middle of the town super close to the store, gas station, and boat ramp. Only thing I would recommend for a tent camper would be steaks for your tents to anchor them down. It gets pretty windy in the evenings.

We did a 2 day bicycle trip around Clear Lake and stayed at Rod's In one night over the Thanksgiving weekend. It was quiet, clean and lovely. It's in the perfect location to enjoy the canal and ducks with a very short walk to get coffee, food or groceries along the main drag. There was a fire pit and firewood available that we used during the evening. Couldn't have had a better stay. Thank you!

We very much enjoyed our stay at Rods In. The campsite was clean, open, and had toilet/shower available. The river nearby only took a couple of blocks to walk to with our dogs. Rod was super nice and accommodating, and made sure that we were set up and good to go. We will definitely go back to this place!
