Conveniently located to our ticketed events, the cabins were charming. The covered porches provide shade along with ample amenities.
Hunter and the rest of the staff at the front desk were very courteous and professional. Hunter upgraded us to a cabin (which I thought I had a 1-bed suite) and it's worth the extra money should we return. The lodge is quiet but only blocks from anything you could want, shopping, restaurants, gas, groceries. The town of Custer, SD is worth a 2-day trip. One for purusing the quaint town itself and making sure you hit the 1886 Museum, the other for driving through Custer State Park for the wildlife and history. We stayed here 4 days, to hit up Mt Rushmore (20 min drive) and Crazy Horse (15 …
