About Rock Creek Sanctuary
We are in the beginning phase of developing an energy independent sanctuary where the biomass and waste are converted to fuels within a theme of well being and acceptance. A ceremonial sweat lodge, Tipi and gardens are in process as well as multiple cabins and campsites. Stay and play, learn and share. Our theme is solutions and community. We have a common area where guests may share food, evening conversations around the fire and music. For us it is not just about somewhere to lay your head, it is also somewhere to use it and share ideas and inspirations for the well being of self, society and environment. We are located 45 minutes to skiing at lake Tahoe and 5 minutes to Nevada City. Situated on 25 acres it feels like the forest but is a short 5-10 minute drive to amenities in the eclectic towns of Grass valley and Nevada City where there are festivals, night life and dining options. There is also an abundance of hiking, biking, lakes and rivers. Rock Creek is 3 minutes down the road and the Yuba river is 15. In full disclosure, we are getting these listings up to begin this new journey and get a sense of what people are looking for while at the same time, finishing and improving on sites. Things are still a little rough around the edges and so we welcome inputs and feedback.
