River Raisin Marina & Campground

There are some great people running this campground. It's in a very relaxing location right on the water and is well kept. While I didn't stay, they were very kind and helpful to me as a guest.

Literally the friendliest campground Ive been to. Theres a really kind, vibrant, and beautiful community here. I've been here like 2 days and Ive made a ton of new friends, went to a cool community event where everyone was super friendly and talkative, and I never want to leave. I genuinely love it here, and Karen is the sweetest. She knows everyones names, story, and what kind of people they are, and doesnt have a negative or judgemental word to say about anyone. This place is full of old full time rvs. It did not feel safe with kids. Maybe it’s different in the on season. I booked the spot at 3 with the plan to be there at 530. She said it was water front and I assumed it was beachy like in the pictures. The water front was a rock ledge into fast moving water with broken and damaged docks. There were people hanging out all over the bridge just feet from the rv entrance and maybe 40 feet from the rv space. The bathroom was a too far to walk but there was access to a porta potty. I did not feel safe and immediately booked a spot at the state park 10 m…
