Private glamping experience. Beautiful, one-of-a-kind handbuilt mountaintop cabin with great views, spectacular sunsets, and that perfect unplugged feeling. A place surrounded by woods to enjoy a campfire, morning coffee, outdoor bath, time and mental space to finally read that book, and get inspired for life again. Each season offers its own kind of experience and beauty 4WD recommended! Cabin is up a 1-mile dirt road, part is smooth, part is a bit rough. Steep, unpaved hills. Our Subaru makes it. Roughest part is a switchback below cabin. Extra parking at bottom if you’d rather hike in—10 minute walk, road is flat after switchback Off-grid. No electricity. 2 battery lanterns provided Hot water outdoor shower/bathtub. Running water inside cabin at kitchen sink, cold water only. Outhouse behind cabin The cabin is on untreated well water. Bring your own drinking water Wood-burning stove for heat. Use with CAUTION! Free wood for stove/campfire provided! STRICT burn ban policy. Stocked kitchen, 2-burner gas cooktop Trash can behind outhouse The cabin is private, surrounded by woods. There are neighbors in the distance. You may occasionally hear sounds of them working in their yard. A neighbor 1/4-mile away occasionally does target practice, so gun shots may be heard in the distance, but it is rare and brief. We live 10 minutes away Family lives on lower part of property We sometimes are present on the lower part of the property Grumpy neighbor lives at the bottom driveway. If you encounter him, just tell him Curtis and Morgan invited you. Please just don't pull/back onto his driveway! Call us if he gives any trouble My husband and I built this tiny cabin with our bare hands. No equipment, no other help. We wanted something to share with family, friends and anyone else looking to get away from this overly modern and exhausting world. It seems places like this available to people are disappearing. We wanted to bring it back. Hopefully you'll love and respect it!
