This was our 5th time visiting Canopy Oaks & it was so disappointing. This place is going downhill & the new management takes no responsibility for anything. It is a shame because this place has a lot of potential. There was loud construction starting early Sunday morning at the site behind us that lasted all day. It made for a miserable vacation & when I called the office I was told the noise was coming from a privately owned site & there was nothing they could do. What they could have done was warned us when we checked in that we were in a construction zone & moved us to a quieter area, but …
Renegade 38ft w/Jeep. Late April stay. Huge facility. We reserved a premium site, CO132. Pavers around a firepit & there's a burn ban - no campfire but charcoal cooking is ok. Lots are nicely spaced. Ours was a double wide concrete pad. Choose carefully & you won't open your door to a neighbor! Beautiful landscaping with small palm trees so there is no shade yet. Lots of group activities & amenities like a salon, spa. Fairly remote (DG 15 minutes). Bathrooms immaculate. Laundry clean with commercial machines. New and great RV Resort near Lake Wales FL. Huge sites with wide and deep concrete pads. Roads are very wide and the spacius sites give plenty of room. Resort has many amenities including large pool and clubhouse, putting green, playground. Plus there is a tiki bar on their lake, and a live goat farm.
Got an email 30 mins prior to arrival that pool is out of service due to waiting for the part...it's been 4 days and no sign of "pool service." We specifically booked our kids spring break here because of the pool and are very disappointed. It's very boring here without a pool with small kids. We won't be returning.
