Elwood Cottage is a charming, newly-renovated home located in a small community in the West Virginia mountains, merely minutes from Wolf Creek mountain biking trails, and just 10 minutes from New River Gorge National Park! The highlights: - Relax in the new hot tub - Hang out & grill on the front porch - Stream on super fast WiFi - Hang out around the fire pit - Drive 10 mins to New River Gorge Bridge & National Park - Play cornhole & other yard games (or board games inside) Enjoy! The Space: Our family-friendly home is packed with amenities and fun for couples, families or groups of friends. The cottage is located in a neighborhood in the town of Oak Hill, WV with great restaurants, bars, and shops downtown. The cottage includes: - 2 bedrooms: one with a queen bed, the other with queen/twin bunk bed (twin over queen - sleeps 3!) - A pull-out sofa in the living room (don’t worry, it’s comfortable!) - Fully-stocked kitchen with stove/oven, microwave, and dishwasher - Smart TV where you can quickly sign-in to your favorite streaming service - Fast WiFi (50+ Mbps) that's more than enough to stream movies and hold video calls – perfect for working remotely - AC in all the main rooms to keep you comfortable Outside the cottage, we also have: - Outside fire pit with seating for the whole gang - A front porch with a grill – and space to relax with a cold beer or glass of wine - An outdoor yard game treasure box full of activities for kids and adults: cornhole, volleyball, soccer balls, horseshoes, and many more! We often take our three little kids and dog to the cottage with us, so we're very family- and dog-friendly. Unfortunately we don't allow cats (we're allergic). The cottage is also all on one level, so no concerns with stairs. Beyond the cabin itself, we love how close we are to New River Gorge National Park (only a 10 minute drive away). The park has excellent hiking, views from the bridge, and of course whitewater rafting. These are several outfitters to plan your river excursion or mountain biking trail ride right nearby. Everything you need for your getaway!
