Raccoon Park is a wonderful park where the public can go to camp, swim, fish, kayak, hike or have a cookout. You can even see eagles there now.
I have to say it's the worst kept state park I have ever visited. I've been to a lot of different states in the past 20-30 yrs. Sites have leaves and tree branches from fall they never cleaned up. Grass hasn't been cut. Picnic tables are aged and rotted. Bathroom and showers old and dirty. Staff said they opened a month ago. Wish I had taken pictures to share. Did not spend the night.
Went twice and had a great time.
