I love this place! It reminds me of Lake Mead and Mount Scott combined. My campsite was perfect. The facilities were well cared for. So much character and charm and history but so clean and we had the most awesome 3 day weekend!
This state park is one of my top faves! I cannot remember the name of the trail offhand, but there is a short moderate rock scrambling trail up to a great overlook that is almost breath-taking! I was there during a slow period, and it was extremely peaceful by the water. I will be returning. Highly recommend visiting yourself!
Beautiful views and fresh air, close enough to take the kids to run and swim and have a cook out. Definitely a spot to go to on a weekend or small vacation.
