Campground is beautiful. Sites are large and we'll spaced...we came at the end of season so not crowded... But would definitely go there again!
Absolutely loved this campground! It was quiet, peaceful, clean, restrooms spotless and staff was friendly, accommodating and welcoming. My son loved the pool and pedal boat. Shore access area was stunning. Hookups are a little awkward and dated but workable.
Very beautiful well kept campground, very nice and clean bathhouse, the staff is also super kind and helpful 🙌🏻❤️ Loved this place!!
This is a fantastic campground located very close to Acadia National Park. It was previously known as HTR Acadia Somes Sound Campground but is now under new management and renamed Quarry Ledge. If you can’t find a spot on recreation(dot)gov, definitely check this place out. Here are my observations: Pros - Utilities: Most sites have both electricity and water (unless otherwise noted). The riverfront sites are a short walk away and don’t have electric hookups. - Clean Facilities: Bathrooms and restrooms are spotless and well maintained. - Wi-Fi Access: Free, campground-wide Wi-Fi (no password)…
First time heading to Mt. Desert Island, ME to visit Acadia National Parl. We originally looked to book at a campsite in the park itself in the Schoodic Peninsula and another two locations last minute and they were all booked (week of July 15 2024). HTR Acadia Campground had availability and we booked immediately so that we were on the island. The campground is located in just the right place East of Echo Lake, 15-20 minutes to anywhere in the island. We were able to travel to Bar Harbor, Bass Harbor, Northeast Harbor, Mt.
