Private Russian River access in the redwoods! On your own private island! An amazing place for you to bring your tent and camp in nature. Nothing else like it anywhere! For the young and young at heart - yes, you are camping on a large (1 acre!!) private island (Honey Island) and the river is flowing around you on both sides! We allow only one (yours!) camping group at a time! Yes we could add more, but we want it to be special for you! You can get there by - wading across the river (march), walking through water (June) or use one of our boats. Or boat down from Healdsburgh (possible with some serious planning!) or somewhere closer! Or get your ankles wet in September. The river is always flowing out to the ocean - nature (and time of year) decides what version of the river you will experience! It requires a bit of hiking and sure footedness. Not very difficult, but also not for everyone! Gated access at entrance to first property (3 acres). Well water onsite, and compost toilet(s). A true wilderness experience — we keep it pristine so you can too. Free use of our BBQ grills, fire pit, the great lawn - all on entrance property - before you journey to your private island (it’s own acre of land).
