Such an awesome Halloween weekend camping experience!

We have camped at the Port Huron KOA for nearly 40 years, so we can say without a doubt that it has changed—and not for the better. While there are still plenty of amenities for children, and the staff used to be great, the overall experience has declined. What once felt like a campground focused on people and enjoyment now feels driven by profit, with excessive rules that take away from actually having a good time.||The bathrooms were filthy, our site had not been mowed, the gazebo was uncleaned, and their cable line fell right off the pole. Staff is helpful and friendly enough. The campground is expansive and offers nice amenities. We’ve been two years in a row and the first year I really liked it. This last time the cleanliness of common areas was lacking and at times outright disgusting. While the facility could use more dedicated staff for the community bathrooms and kitchens I look to the actual campers as the real problem when it comes to cleanliness. Simply disgusting - leaving unflushed toilets and not cleaning after yourself in the restrooms to pouring food in the community kitchen sinks that clearly have strainers over …
