Beware of trying to make a reservation at this campground. I thought I found this Campground on recreation.gov and made a reservation for my RV. There are no reservations and no RVs allowed at this campground, tense only! It turns out there is a Platte river campground in Michigan at a national lakeshore recreation area and it is not clear at rec.gov that it is Not the one I wanted in Colorado!. it looks like a very nice little campground for tent camping, but we didn’t stay there since no RVs were allowed.
The fact that you have to pay to park ruins the experience. It's also busy and crowded for a weekday. The bathrooms were extremely stinky and I didn't even go inside.
It's a beautiful camp site, very clean with no trash! But fishing was slow due to the river being very low
