I am here often and love this park. It has so much potential and has so many things to do but has been ignored by the state and is not being managed well. For example, the gate to the beach is locked during the day much of the year. That means there is no access for photographers, artists, etc. to the waterfall, the beach area and one of the shelters unless you hike a trail into it. Apparently there's problems with people trying to swim in the off season. There is a ranger that can monitor that during the day so why lock people out of part of the park!? Ive been to plenty of state parks …
