Peaceful Woodlands Family Campground

Staff was friendly and bathrooms were generally clean, but the overall experience was disappointing. Check-in was confusing. We were left waiting while others who arrived later were waved through. Our campsite was small, very close to neighbors, and even being used by them to unload when we arrived. It also hadn’t been fully cleaned, with leftover trash and tent stakes left behind. Noise was also a major issue. Kids often ran through our site, and our neighbors ignored quiet hours (11 pm–8 am). Nice campground. Although our site was too small. No room to get chairs out. First time there so would ask for a flat site with more space next time.

Great location near multiple hiking areas and towns to check out. It was very quiet the weekend I went.. The primitive sites are well spread out and they all have a picnic table and firepit I believe. Also, woke up to a few wild turkeys outside! 🦃 The office has a lot of souvenirs, some supplies in case you forgot anything and firewood. $35 a night for primitive sites isnt too bad when you have everything you could need- like potable water, super clean bathhouses (loved that they were so clean!), and its in a gated campground.
