A beautiful, small state park. Very quiet, except they were doing some work to clear out dead trees. They didn’t answer the phone or return my call, but I was able to show up and make a same day reservation. The trails are pretty rough, looks like they’re mainly used for horses.
My farm is close Camp Grist and we go over for the Day .It's a Great place to hike,fish and relax never very crowded.
Great, quiet park to camp at. Not crowded at all. Nice views of the lake and wildlife. There are lots of hiking trails but we didn't have time to explore them, due to rain coming in. The staff are very friendly and helpful. They showed us the best fishing spots, answered all of our questions, and even refunded us for the night that we couldn't stay, due to the weather. Will definitely be back!
It is a nice little park with a beautiful lake and walking/horse trails. Not much other infrastructure and the road to the park in narrow. Overall, if was quite and we had a relaxing weekend.
