I do love this park and have been going for 15 years, as I stay nearby a few times a year but also do have some tips for potential visitors. 1. Its expensive for a day pass.I have a yearly state parks pass, which is also very expensive now at $200 but I don't ever need to think twice about going in for short time periods. 2. I swim in the lake and really enjoy this. I get in over near the camping spots near the Birding Trail and there is no boat traffic in that part of the lake. 3. The Birding trail is a wonderful and beautiful easy hike on Sonoita Creek. There are tons of birds, benchs to jus…
Its a pleasant drive from tucson especially the back way. Love love love patagonia. Have made wonderful family memories here. Beautiful oasis in the desert . Nice clean picnic areas. RV and tent Camp ground is usually full . So plan ahead! Nice hiking trails and great area for bird watchers.
