Hi! I'm John, with a fantastic driveway spot that's literally right across the street from the cliff overlooking the ocean in Moss Beach. Hear the ocean roar at night, dark, quiet neighborhood. Also 1 block away from the Fitzgerald Nature Preserve, where you'll see seals on the beach under the 100' cliff overlooking the ocean. At the other end of the park is a fantastic historic restaurant/bar (Moss Beach Distillery). Walk/bike to miles of cliff-side trails overlooking ocean. Boating/surfing within 10 minutes. 15 minutes to Half Moon Bay or Pacifica. 20 minutes to Purissima redwood forrest. Perfect getaway! The spot has water, electric; WIFI: Surfcottage; Password: Daniel25 A few minor restrictions: I'm in a residential neighborhood and to keep the neighbors from ragging I can't host a typical "campground scene". So we have to avoid cookouts, guitar jams all night, etc. Sorry! Only self-contained vans up to 23'.

It was a lovely, quiet night at John’s. There is a slight angle to the parking space in front of his house, but that didn’t bother me. I walked the neighborhood in the evening and explored the nearby reserve the next morning. It was a perfect stop!
Great location, very quite! Will definitely be staying here again.
Overall we didn’t have a bad experience, the neighborhood felt safe and quiet and it was a block from the beach so we could hear the ocean waves at night. However, we really think the site could be improved if there was a bathroom available to use in the nearby house, or even a portapotty. The closest place with a public bathroom is a gas station about 5 blocks away, and while the gas station had a very nice attendant and clean bathroom, if you are someone who needs to pee in the night make sure your camper van has its own toilet. A snug spot in a coastal neighbor close to the Fitzgerald Marine Reserve. Our host had water and electric readily available. My husband and I enjoyed three quiet nights there listening to the ocean surf.
John’s Beach Cliff Cottage was just as advertised. It was a wonderful spot right next to the ocean, steps away from Fitzgerald’s Marine Reserve (which has public bathrooms), and minutes from downtown Princeton. 10/10 would recommend John’s wonderful spot!
