This is a very small state park but there are so many hiking trails, good for people with kids. Strollers are good for the trails. We came here on April 25,2026 and the weather was chilly. The trail was muddy and wet so be careful if you’re planning to use a stroller. If anyone is planning to do a group camp, the state park has one big ( group camp - site G). It is a 0.1 mile ( 8 mintues) walk on the trails to the group site. The group site G is very nice. I highly recommend camping here. To get to the group site G, you must park your car at parking lot #3 and walk toward to the beach then yo…

Did the candlelight hike at Newport. Was absolutely beautiful. Well marked and not difficult. Highly recommend
