Pity the poor fools that continue to pay $845mo +electric for those small, grass spaces at the New Bern KOA Holiday. Perhaps they don't have a choice.. or do not look? My one-month stay was nothing short of miserable! The "long-term" folks are all crowed into one section of the campground.. closest to Hwy 17, Train Tracks and the Concrete mixing plant. All of these being sources of NOISE ! Trains start coming through at about 4am, with HORNS Blaring. Truck traffic on Hwy 17 can be pretty noisy, along with the occasional pocket-rocket. We stayed at New Bern KOA Holiday from April 27 – May 11, 2025. The staff was friendly. We were in site 46, a pull-through patio gravel site with full hook-ups, a patio with a table set, BBQ grill, viewing chairs, a fire pit, and plenty of space on both sides. The campground offers a wide range of amenities: clean laundry facilities, restrooms, an on-site Kampstore with snacks, and supplies. There is propane, and firewood available for purchase, an EV charging station, a dump station, and a pavilion. The park is pet friendly and has a KampK9 dog park where the pups can run and play.
