Mountaineer Campground

Loved the experience and the people at the Campground were so kind. They were there when you needed them, even after hours. Loved the site, especially hearing the river below and sitting by the fire. Thank you for such an amazing experience!

We camped for 2 weeks -loved the area -campground is small but well taken care of -quiet and in a perfect spot with easy access to the national park and Gatlinburg and pigeon forge. Managers Stacy and Markoe are wonderful-the keep all areas of the park clean. We are going back next October and April !

This campground is really good. Campsites 16 and 17 are pretty much on the river. Access is almost private as we saw no one else using the river. The campground backs up to the new mountain bike park in Townsend. You can walk there or ride your MTB straight from your campsite. Facilities were clean and up to date. Wish I could give it 6 stars. Super close to the GSMNP and reasonably priced. Not very busy and it was easy to get in and out. Can’t say enough good about this campground

The campground was kept very clean and tidy. It is right next to the Little River so you can hear the water flowing by. A very peaceful and relaxing place. We loved spending our vacation there.
