Moran State Park

A lot of employees who seem to sit around and do nothing all day. Bathrooms were disgusting and campsites are overall terrible. I’ve camped in many states parks and this was by far the most disappointing. I’d encourage the higher ups to look at what your employees are really doing here all day, because it’s definitely not maintaining the park.

Absolutely beautiful state park and one of the highlights of Orcas Island. It’s huge, with a mix of forests, lakes, and mountain views, so there’s a lot to explore. You’ve got hiking trails, lakes for kayaking or swimming, and plenty of scenic spots to just relax. Mount Constitution is the main highlight, but the whole park is worth spending time in. There are multiple lakes like Cascade and Mountain Lake, plus tons of trails ranging from easy walks to more challenging hikes. It’s great for a full day or even camping if you want to stay longer.
