Air conditioning ensures that glampers are kept cool and comfortable despite the humid conditions. The cottage sleeps up to three adults, or two adults with children, thanks to the delightful king-size bed, and the equally comfortable sofa bed. The kitchen opens onto a private lawn, which features a hammock, a table with chairs, and a grill. Cook up a storm and have a romantic dinner outside, or play some games on the table under the stars. The lush vegetation in the yard adds to the cottage’s private, tucked-away feel. For entertainment, there is a television with a DVD player should glampers wish to indulge in a movie marathon. Additional guests will incur a charge of $20 per day, and there is a one time cleaning fee of $125. The beach is a five-minute walk from the property, via a path that goes under the bridge. The hosts have coolers, chairs, mats, umbrellas, boogie boards and fins for those who wish swim with the fish, or explore the lazy river. There are also plastic beach toys for kids. Spend a lazy afternoon paddling down the Wailua River in the complimentary two-person kayak, or take the “his and her” bikes on a picnic to nearby Lydgate Beach. Glampers will also find plenty to love in the private garden. Stroll barefoot across the lawn and pluck mangoes, star fruits, oranges, mountain apples for breakfast from the trees.
